- Enclose 2 recently taken photos with white background, front view, bare head, without sunglasses to stick on Vietnamese Visa application form
- The original passport must be valid for at least 6 months
- The application forms and taken photos are sent to Vietnam representative office abroad that you find it most convenient. If returned by post, postage fee and self-addressed envelope are required.
- Approval letter upon arrival issued by Vietnam Immigration Department (VID) allows travelers to enter and get Vietnam visa at Vietnamese Embassy abroad (name of Vietnamese Embassy abroad must be included in the letter)
- This approval letter is faxed to Vietnamese Embassy abroad by VID
- This approval letter is issued because one of the following individuals or organizations act as a guarantee.

A company or organization in Vietnam acts as a guarantee with the aim of trade, business, market research, etc
A travel agency acts as a guarantee for the purpose of travelling.

- Produce your passport
- Produce Approval letter upon arrival
- Fill out the application forms under instruction of Vietnamese Embassy staff
- Pay fees at Vietnamese Embassy according to regulations
